Isabelle

Our beloved Isabelle arrived in sanctuary on August 24th, 2022 ~ she came from a loving home to be a companion to Hondo.

She spends most of her day foraging and shadowing Hondo.  She is constantly on the move playing hide and seek, searching for her favorite treats and singing her beautiful duets with Hondo.

Her little body is transforming ~ having a dear friend does that ~ Hondo has done that ~ love does that!
Yes Hondo and Isabelle are in love ♥️

If you have ever met Hondo, you know right away that he has been a human companion for many decades. However, I felt in my heart that Hondo was only EnJoy when he is with me or other humans.

My old man needed more, especially at this stage in his life ~ I talked to Hondo and prayed for the perfect match ~ “Ask and you shall receive.” I spoke to my dear friend who originally rescued Karuna.

Ten years ago she saved a six year old mini, Jerusalem donkey also known as a cross back donkey or a common donkey.

This poor girl was at a horrid feed store in the South Valley, hoofs like skis in a tiny pen.  After 3 weeks of watching her being neglected and after much persuasion, my friend was able to rescue her and to bring her home.

Meet Isabelle aka Baby Belle.
Isabelle has lived an amazing life over the past 10 years since then.

Just to be clear, we did not rescue Isabelle ~she has moved into sanctuary to bond with Hondo ~ they both need what no human can give them ~ Donk Love

Isabelle and Hondo have developed a beautiful relationship ~ they are both over the moon with happiness and Joy ♥️
